| The ElectroSpot Method combines electrochemical sampling, the heart of all the Koslow kits, with the well known color spot test. In the Koslow method of electrochemical sampling, a minute amount of the unknown material is electrically deplated into a chemically treated test paper. | The dissolved material reacts with the treated paper resulting in the development of a characteristic, generally vivid color. In addition to the speed and simplicity of the procedure, the Koslow ElectroSpot test is reproducible and can therefore be used to estrimate the amount of a particular alloying element present in a sample. | |
