Silver/Silver Sulfate Reference Electrode Part No. 1003
Price: $ 175

Koslow Scientific Company introduces a new reference electrode for the 21st century. It is truly green! Since it does not contain mercury, it is non-hazardous and easily disposed. The metal in use is silver and the electrolyte is potassium sulfate, neither of which is a hazardous substance. The electrode is dubbed SSE for Ag/Ag2S04

The Silver/Silver Sulfate potential is approximately:

• +686 mV vs. Normal Hydrogen Electrode (NHE)
• +40 mV vs. Mercury Sulfate Reference Electrode (MSE)
• +440 mV vs. Saturated Calomel Reference Electrode (SCE)

Electrode potential is stable to plus or minus one millivolt and recovers quickly from small temperature excursions. The Koslow Silver Sulfate Electrode will find applications in electroanalysis, battery testing and maintenance, corrosion testing and many other electrochemical measurements. OEM users, to your specifications.
