Details

Vycor, Corning brand, code 7930, is an open-cell, porous glass which exhibits excellent absorbing properties. Due to its porosity, this material has an internal surface area of approximately 250 square meters per gram. Vycor porous glass is mechanically hard and strong, non-dusting, non- flaking, and chemically inert. Its primary use is in electrochemical applications. Reference Electrode frits may need to be changed periodically if potentials drift or if they get damaged or dirty.
