Details

The Mercury Oxide Reference Electrode is ideal for battery development, energy systems research and development, process control and general electrochemical studies. It is fast becoming an industry standard. The electrolyte is 20% potassium hydroxide. The standard electrode potential of the Mercury/Mercury Oxide half-cell is +0.098mV vs. the normal hydrogen electrode (NHE) in basic solution. NaOH Electrolyte is available as well as other custom concentrations.
